Nailed It- Grey Skies

I usually choose my nail polish colour based on three factors:

1)how I feel
2)what I haven't worn in a while
3)what I've seen on someone else and thought 'hey, that colour looks good, I have a similar one, why the hell don't I wear it?!'

So, I felt like it was time that I went back to an old favourite nail polish of mine... No7's Grey Skies from Boots. You can also get it here. This colour is a true dark grey with like a dirty green undertone. Its really nice and I think it will compliment any skin colour.

No7 do different types of nail polishes; they have their 'Stay Perfect' range, 'Speed Dry' range and 'Colour Miracle'.

Grey Skies is part of the 'Speed Dry' collection and the polishes from this range do dry quickly and are easy to work with.

I really love No7 nail polish's because they are cheap (when used with the £5 off vouchers), the colours are amazing and a majority of the colours are really pigmented and glossy, so in  some cases one coat can be worn, but I just slap the other one on :)
Also, with these nail polishes, I find that they don't chip that easily and I don't really need a top coat.

If you want to look into buying some No7 colours, I would definitely check out: (all are with one coat)...

  • Left to Right- 'Queenie', 'Siren', 'Beanie' and 'Violetta' (all from the 'Speed Dry' collection)

  • Left to Right- 'Miracle Chocolate' and 'Miracle Plum' ('Colour Miracle' collection)
With these colours, once you have applied them, you then apply a top coat which makes them change colour. I think it's really cool! So you kinda get two colours for the price of one ;)

After (with top coat applied)

  • Left to Right- 'Pillar Box' and 'Temptress' ('Stay Perfect' collection)

Unfortunately, 'Pillar Box' came out really orange on camera (even under about 4 different types of lights- sorry!) but its not all, its actually a bright red. However, I do find that with this range, my polishes stay put for a couple of days longer :)

No7 nail polishes are priced around £7-8 for 10ml.

What do you think of No7 polishes? What are your favourites?

It Arrived!!!

My Knomo Slim (Medium) Laptop bag that is! :) It came on Saturday morning at 9am (thanks Mr Postman for the wake up call!)

As soon as I got it, I opened it to see if my laptop would fit and it does! I love it sooooo much!!! I'm even thinking of getting another one! It feels really nice and I love how slim it is, which is so so important. Because when I'm on the tube, I just about have enough space to breath (during rush hour times) and having to carry a huge laptop would be a nightmare.

Slim, eh?
It has a carry handle and also comes with a strap so you can wear it across your body or on your shoulder. AND... I thought this was amazing... it has its own unique tracking number so if you lose it, Knomo will return it for free! (But I'm not exactly sure how that works!)

I got mine on sale from the Knomo website. If you need a laptop bag, I defo think you should have a look, it even comes with a 2 year guarantee. I wanted the black one, but I thought brown looks quite nice too and the it was more than half the price of the black one. (win! win! win!) I took the pictures with the zip cover things on it, the zips aren't white, they are silver! (whoopsie!)

It costed me £22 with free delivery. The delivery was amazing because I purchased it on Thursday and it arrived on Saturday morning, which I was really happy about!

How nice is the inside colour? And that little label inside has the tracking number, if it gets lost!

Size: 15.1 x 11 x 2.3 inches OR 38.5 x 28 x 6 cm (Fits 15" to 15.4" laptops)

If you have any questions about the Knomo Slim Laptop Bag, let me know... I'll be happy to help :)

Have a good week everyone!

Likes, Dislikes and News :)

Hey everybody! :)

Sorry for the lack of posting! Since I'm on summer holiday I have been quite lazy! I have just been shopping, going out for dinner, babysitting and catching up with friends and family! :) But I have come back with a few likes, dislikes and some things which I think are exciting!

Liking at the moment
1) I went to Asda with my Mum and Sister and I got these pumps! I really adore them. And they only cost £7!!!

I got them in store but you can get them online here. They look a bit neh in the picture but they are v. casual and when I'm going out and I can't be bothered I just chuck these on. They are really comfortable and I went back and got a pair in black too. (I know very bad!)

2) I managed to get more of the CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume (from my aunty in Canada) which is a really really good mascara. It is basically Maybelline's False Lash Effect, but the Cover Girl is MUCH cheaper. At first, I hated the CoverGirl but when I got used to it... I really loved it... My cousin even asked me if I was wearing falsies, then I was like this mascara is the shizzle. FYI: my lashes are naturally longish but very straight! :( so eye lash curlers are a must.
3) I was looking for a laptop bag for ages and I found it... I have just ordered this Knomo Laptop Bag which is so feminine and I hope it fits! Have a look at the Knomo website, they have a sale at the moment which is worth having a look at. Oh and apparantly, Pippa Middleton has the Knomo Laptop bag! Well, if its good enough for her...

Not so liking at the moment
1) Volume Million Lashes- When I bought this, I thought ahh Eva Longoria modelling it... it should be a goodun'... Well HOW wrong was I???!!!!!!! Its not voluminising, if anything it does the opposite for me. My eye lashes look like spider legs and it can get quite flaky! But the packaging is really nice, which still doesn't make up for how disapointed I was... The best mascara is Voluminous or the Telescopic one. They are both phenomenal :)

2) REN Clearcalm 3 Replenishing Night Serum- I have acne prone skin and I wanted to try this skincare brand for ages. I'm kind of getting into natural skincare, free of parabens and blah blah blah! So I tried it, loved it as it controlled my acne and then a month later it broke me out like crazy! I tried it again a few days ago and my skin went nuts :( I still would try other things from their skincare range... This product might be a bit strong for my skin.

The product smells herbally and is a creamy white consistency. It does blend well into the skin.

Price: £20 for 50 ml

But what doesn't work for me, could work for you. :)

In other news...

Boots are welcoming 'Philosophy' to their stores... YAY!!! :) I have heard so much about this brand that I wanted to try it for ages, but I hate that if I tried it and liked it, I would have to go to a John Lewis or a huge department store to get it. Thanks to Boots, I don't need to do that...and you get advantage card points too!!! ;) Here's the proof... Click Here

Im trying out a new natural skincare range called 'Cetuem', a British brand. When I have used it enough, I will defo review it.

PS- I have really really really loved Jessie J  for ages!! and her album is amazing! She's just released 'Who's laughing now' which is really good....but if you get a chance, listen to 'L.O.V.E' and 'Abracadabra' :)

And a couple of other songs I've been YouTub-ing:
  •  'Lighters' by Bruno Mars feat. Eminem
  • 'All of the lights' by Kanye West feat Rihanna
  • 'Iridescent' by Linkin Park
  • 'Raining Men' by Rihanna feat Nicki Minaj (from Rihanna's album 'Loud')

Hope everyone is having a good week! :)
